DITCH YOUR RESOLUTIONS DAY!

As I was trying to think of the many things to celebrate today I came across a very special holiday for today.

It appears that today is the Official Ditch Your Resolutions Day. Just like January 1st celebrates making resolutions for the new year today's the day to ditch those resolutions. Yes, January 17th is Ditch Your Resolutions Day.

I have learned from making resolutions that January first for me just doesn't work as a day I want to take on all the responsibility attributed to resolutions. I would much rather set my resolutions/goals through out the year.

For many people January 1st was the the day to take on those resolutions. I am sure there are many out there that are well on their way to accomplishing their New Years resolutions. Maybe, you have even accomplished some of the things you have set out to do. For you congratulations.

For many, the resolutions have already been broken. Maybe, they weren't a good idea in the first place.

So January 17, Ditch Your Resolution Day is the perfect holiday to celebrate. Breath a sigh of relief and Ditch those resolutions.  It's okay ditch them today...

Who knows, there is probably a holiday called Resolution Do Over Day.

WIP-WORKS IN PROGRESS

Sunday afternoon and some personal time to just play. An afternoon to release some creativity. Only to end the afternoon with 2-WIP.

I started out with this plain piece of wood. I had this vision in my mind --but some how the vision has not yet materialized into a finished project. Hence a WIPMy second project was just to started with just wanting to use the peeling paint technique on something. I started with the layers:canvas, old dictionary pages, picture of Rosa Parks, acrylic paint, Vaseline to create the peeling effect and voila' a WIP.

Right now as you can see nothing is completed but it is oh so close and it was a fun way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
