FALL

Today was a beautiful day. The high temperature was about 76 and the sun was was shining and the sky clear.

I took some time today to water the plants and enjoy the day. I also got some pictures of some critters in the yard.

There's something about all those birthdays after 50. There is no big fanfare, no cakes or breakfast in bed it's some how just another day--or is it?

You wake up wondering where the year has gone and you think back briefly on the years before. Somehow each birthday is a reminder of how little time is left and how much living there is.

My celebration of the day was quite simple but what makes this day special and every morning I rise special is that I realize how blessed I truly am. So tomorrow morning when I wake and I look in that mirror and see remembrance's of the girl I was and realize how far I have come I will thank the Lord for another day.

Columbus OH, Morning

Who would think that the view from a Motel Six it could look so good out side your door. Keep in mind when traveling with Jack the dog you some times have to stay in some more doggie friendly abode.

No matter where you stay there is still beauty to be seen. This is the picture from our first morning in Columbus. The rainbow at this point is not as magnificent as it appeared when I went for copy but it is still magical.

ROAD TRIP

A vacation is having nothing to do and all day to do it in

I am starting vacation tomorrow and it already seems like I am on a time line with too much to do and only so much time to do it in.

Therefore I must adjust and just relax and take it easy. I am prepared to be amazed...

Let's get packed it's a ROADTRIP!

AFTERTHOUGHTS

ONE CANNOT HAVE TOO LARGE A PARTY--jane austen

Well even if your party is large you must ensure you have all the ingredients that make it a success:

• Great Food


• HOMEMADE BEER


• Sweet Treats


• Interesting People


• A cozy comfy place


• A great Host/Hostess

And only let you dog bite one of your guest and if he must bite a guest let it be one of your guest with a sense of humor or thick skin.

PARTY

We had a party it was fun- can't you see by the happy faces. My only afterthoughts are that if you are planning a party don't procrastinate. When you procrastinate you are doing all the party prep the same day and that leads to major fatigue the day after. I think I am sleeping as I update this blog.



On another note the party was a success the beer was home made the ribs slow cooked the side dishes were delicious the desert was sweeeeet and the company superb!
